Warrantees / Annual service
We honor all manufactures warrantees; we maintain records of the date of all installs as well as service. For us to honor the manufactures warrantees service as is recommended by this company must be maintained as directed by any field technician, office personnel or owner associated with J.C. Galloway & Son the Water Doctor, Inc.
For the first year all labor associated with failure of the equipment is covered at no charge to the customer. Physical damage, cosmetic damage, negligence or acts of God are not included. Approximately 30 days after installation you will receive a courtesy follow up visit. At that time, you need to be present so we can go over the monthly care of the equipment. We physically check the equipment to ensure it is doing what it is supposed to do and answer any questions you may have come up with in the last 30 days. This also includes testing the water. After the courtesy follow up it is your responsibility to call us with any problems, questions or concerns. If you do not call, we will assume everything is fine. 12 months after the courtesy follow up you will be called to schedule annual service. Annual service is not included in your first-year free labor. The charge for this will vary depending on your location.
Annual service is not free. There are no exceptions for this unless you have it in writing and signed by an employee of this company. There are no verbal agreements for free annual service. If you do not have it in writing, you will not receive a free annual service.
What is annual service?
We do a complete diagnostic of the system. Including check all the settings & mechanics and adjusting the settings as needed. We check all the tubes, fittings & timers. We do a deep resin bed clean, sanitize the system and test the water. In some equipment there are parts that must be inspected, cleaned or replaced on a yearly basis. Keeping the area clean around your system is not part of the annual service and is important to be maintained so the technicians can access the system with ease.
The question we get asked most often is, “Do we have to do annual service?” The answer is no, of course you do not have to do annual service. Neither do you have to change the oil in your car. But, failure to do either will affect the efficiency and longevity of both your water treatment system and your car. Furthermore; not maintaining annual service will void your warranty. Maintaining annual service helps to avoid emergency service calls which after hours and on weekends and holidays will cost you extra. So, no you don’t have to do annual service, however the potential consequence will be yours.
